Navigating College Today

Since October of 2019, the Coronavirus-also known as Covid-19-has slowly taken over our society. It has put the world into madness and chaos with the new ongoing global experiment. Right now with the uprising cases of the current global pandemic, the switch to a completely virtual environment is considered normal in today’s society. Businesses and educational systems have shifted their entire establishments to a virtual setting. With college being around the corner or currently in session, the topic of how to gain a better experience with this new format of school is brought to the attention of many. As a student myself, I have realized that students are still trying to get used to virtual learning as many have not experienced online schooling. I ,however, have been doing online school for about 2 years now and I’m pretty comfortable with the format. That is why I am starting this blog. Having this platform will help me educate other college students on how to navigate through the whole virtual learning concept. No, I am not here to teach you how to use a computer and all the applications that are needed for schooling. However, I am here to teach you how to make use of the whole online experience. Switching from in person to online classes may seem like a breeze but your whole environment that you are used to switches. For example, making new relationships with your classmates and your teachers become more challenging than before. Also your mental health becomes in danger due to everything that is going on in today’s society. In my blog, I will be covering those topics and much more. Navigating through today’s version of schooling is not simple but it can definitely be done especially when there is someone who is able to guide you in the right direction. Having to be fully remote is definitely a barrier that is constantly being overlooked. That is why I am here to answer any questions you may have regarding the shift to virtual learning.
